Eliot Hall is built.
1831
Designed in the Italianate style, it is located at 7A Eliot Street. It is built as a temporary Town Hall, becomes a parish building of the First Church in Jamaica Plain then home of the Footlight Club in 1878 (1890-BLC) and of Miss Souther’s Dancing School from the 1920s to the 1960s. It seats 240 for theatrical performances.
